The chain conveyor system is composed of chains, sprockets, motors, reducers, couplings, etc. For long-distance chain conveyor systems, tensioning devices and chain support rails should be added, such as chain conveyor lines.
1. Chain
Conveyor chains include sleeve roller chains, bent-piece chains, fork chains, welded chains, detachable chains, crawler chains, toothed chains, and other structural forms. Conveyor chains are longer than drive chains and have greater mass. Generally, the pitch of the conveying chain is designed to be 2 times or more than 3 times of the ordinary transmission chain, which can reduce the number of hinges, reduce the quality of the chain, and improve the conveying performance.
In the chain conveyor system, the material is generally driven forward by the attachment on the chain. The accessories can be formed by expanding the parts on the chain, and the chain conveyor system can also be equipped with secondary accessories (trays, hoppers, carrying mechanisms, etc.)
2. Sprocket
The basic parameters of the sprocket, tooth profile and tolerance, tooth shape, axial tooth profile, sprocket tolerance, etc. are designed according to national standards. The number of sprocket teeth Z has a greater impact on the performance of the conveyor chain. If Z is too small, the smoothness of the chain will deteriorate, and impact, vibration, noise, and wear will increase.
